This is a medium from the Dark Ages and the world's best kept secret. Because items from Russia have not been available to the West for many years few of today's painters have had the opportunity to work with Russian Sauce. First it is a stick much like a soft Pastel but with a feel and texture that you have never experienced before. Touching paper gives you a sensation of warm silk, slightly greasy but then again without grease. It is almost indescribable yet just fantastic for drawing.
